Technical Review: Meghna Gulzar avoids generic hero moments, focusing on police work, and institutional apathy.
The narrative actively refuses to paint either side as purely right or wrong, forcing viewers to question if instant justice compensates for systemic cracks.
The first half takes a slow, deliberate pace that occasionally lacks the urgency expected of a high-stakes investigation.
The second half is where all the action is down specially climax dialect between Ajooni and Raman meet for first and last time
The background score is excellent that keeps the story gripping making audience hooked to screen
Performances: Kareena Kapoor Khan delivers a composed, non-melodramatic performance as Ajooni,
She gets limited screen timing in which she has performed with grace
Prithviraj Sukumaran brings a controlled intensity to Raman, conveying a underlying rage at systemic failures without turning into an exaggerated action-cop.
Final Words : Daayra is a serious, disturbing, and thought-provoking drama that prioritizes systemic criticism over easy entertainment.
