The trailer launch event for Mirzapur: The Movie was held on August 11, 2026, in Mumbai. It marked a major milestone as the acclaimed streaming franchise makes its leap to the big screen with its upcoming worldwide theatrical release on September 4, 2026.
The event brought together the ensemble cast, including Pankaj Tripathi (Kaleen Bhaiya), Ali Fazal (Guddu Pandit), Divyenndu (Munna Bhaiya), Rasika Dugal (Beena Tripathi), Shweta Tripathi (Golu Gupta), Abhishek Banerjee, and Jitendra Kumar.
One of the biggest takeaways from the launch was the return of Divyenndu as Munna Bhaiya and the entry of Jitendra Kumar into the franchise
Producer Farhan Akhtar addressed the media alongside co-producer Ritesh Sidhwani (Excel Entertainment) and Amazon MGM Studios representatives, sharing that the transition from a streaming series to a feature film was driven directly by global fan demand.
Directed by Gurmmeet Singh and written by Puneet Krishna, the trailer promises high-octane action, signature dialoguebaazi, and power struggles as the characters lock horns on a larger scale.
