Storyline :28 years after the events of the first 1997 film, I Know What You Did Last Summer (2025) follows a group of five friends who live in the town of Southport, North Carolina. They have gathered together for engagement ceremony of one of their friends Danica , After The engagement all friends go on a long drive coincidentally it happens to be fourth of July, that night fate takes a sharp turn their relationships are forever changed as they inadvertently cause a fatal car accident down the curved road on the side of a mountain and watch as the driver disappears into the water. They form a pact to bury the crime and keep their records clean, but their guilt catches up , A year later when Danica (Madelyn Cline, ) receives a bone-chilling threat on a note card at her bridal shower.

When the Fisherman, a serial killer with a bloody hook and a shadowy raincoat, starts targeting their loved ones, Ava (Chase Sui ) realizes that this has all happened in Southport before. As she enlists the help of original survivors Julie James (Jennifer Love Hewitt) and Ray Bronson (Freddie Prinze Jr.), the past and present of their small town converge, revealing deadly secrets. Will they survive the deadly culprit and how forms the crux of the movie.

Technical Review : Though The Director tried to make I Know What You Did Last Summer (1997) is a mildly interesting film about teenagers right on the cusp of adulthood who become emotionally scarred and morphed by their guilt. It doesn’t earnestly explore this theme to any satisfying degree.He has not added anything new to the plot infact has made it more gore
For much of its running time, I Know WhatSummer tediously lurches from one violent slashing to another, which would be fine if any of the kills showcased visual originality or genuine thrills, which they don’t.

Final Words : It’s a Scary Human Slashing Movie , if you are horror fan
