Review Of Movie Apurva :An Intriguing Thriller

Overview :A gritty, disturbing, and compelling survival drama based on true events .

Storyline : The story is set in Small town of Madhya Pradesh which is home to the famous chambal valley and its dacoits . Apurva ( Tara Sutaria) who is engaged to Siddarth ( Dhairya Karwa) who is working in the banking sector based in Agra , Apurva plans to surprise him on his birthday and decides to travel from gwalior to agra by bus. On the way the bus is attacked by dacoits consisting of jugnu ( rajpal yadav) , Sukka (Abhishek Banerjee), Billa (Sumit Gulati) and Chhota , they forcefully take all passenger’s valuables , On seeing apurva and threatened by her fiancee ,they kidnap her and take her to ruins of chambal valley , they drag her inside an abandoned railway bogie so much so that she passes out , they wait for her to be conscious outside in the meantime she plans hervescape , from thereon roller coaster of chase scenes begins and survival drama takes shape that forms the crux of the movie.

Technical Review : The Director Nikhil Nagesh Bhat has portrayed the story which is a combination of Anushka Sharma’s Nh 10 and In Car movie that are based on the same story line .Though director has tells through his lens that even today women in India are not safe and they will have to face barberous men by incorporating courage and determination to survive and escape as portrayed by the protagonist in the movie .

Though the survival drama is intriguing, the dir tor has mot presented any new plot or any new twist or turns.

The climax scene is shot beautifully on a railway track within a tunnel in between of the jungle

Performances : Tara Sutaria who had a glamorous debut in Student of the year 2 , in this movie though she is at first shown as pure and innocent girl full of life but immediately the character transits into a girl facing a traumatic situation ,tara flawlessly embodies this transition to perfection .Dhairya as apurva fiancee is fine in his role .Abhishek Banerjee as an merciless gangster is powerful till the end .The surprise package is Rajpal Yadav who always play comic character , in this movie he has played role of vicious dacoit who will not think twice before killing anyone ..He has played this role of ruthless killer flawlessly.
