is an amalgamation of folk regional Indian mythology, spiritual devotion,along with supernatural mystery.
Storyline:The story revolves around
Rishi (Sidharth Malhotra), an engineer and asthetic and non believer in spiritual devotion , Whereas His wife Mamta (Tamannaah Bhatia), is a believer and spiritual person, They have to goto Rishi’s native village in Devanchal during Chhath Puja to resolve an ancestral land dispute.between him and his brother , but they are reluctant to go to their native village as around six years back The couple had to go through grief following the loss of an unborn child
Devanchal is surrounded by forest and it’s people are protected by Vvaan Devi but
Devanchal abides by an ancient rule: never enter the forbidden forest (Dev Van) after sunset. Legend dictates that Van Devi holds evil forces trapped in the woods, protecting the village as long as no one crosses the boundary. When Rishi scoffs at these warnings and steps into the woods after dark to rescue a villager’s lost animal, he returns unharmed, triggering a belief among locals that he is the chosen heir (uttaradhikari) of the king of devanchal from 7 th century
He then starts having dreams about King Vikramaditya, who had broken the same rule years ago. What’s the secret behind this king and Vann Devi?

Technical Review: Deepak Kumar Mishra’s direction feels like a hybrid of TVF’s grounded storytelling and Balaji’s high-drama style.
Real locations give the village and temple sequences a rustic, authentic aesthetic.The cinematography is good but the screenplay lacks behindit tries to juggle too many subplots—including local political greed, an ancient royal bloodline, and unnecessary comedy tracks, which dilute the eerie atmosphere built in the early scenes. background score relies heavily on shlokas and devotional chants, makes movie sound different than any Bollywood movie
The visual effects are mixed—the animated prologue and supernatural creatures range from decent to high octane fantasy sequences
The last twenty mins climax gives the movie extra edge , Chatth puja rituals are shown beautifully .The climax of the movie is it’s strength
Performances: Sidharth Malhotra carries the role well and convincingly navigates his character’s journey from skepticism to belief His action-oriented avatar in the climax stands out.
Tamannaah Bhatia plays the role with full sincerity first when in mumbai a modern women , whereas during her visit to the villagebringd emotional grounding, particularly during the Chhath Puja sequences and devotional beats.
Sunil Grover: Plays a darker role that departs from his typical comedic persona. While his performance is committed, the character arc turns predictable toward the end.
Maniesh Paul: Provides comic relief as a vlogger friend but forced feel

The Vvaan: Force of the Forest is a decent one-time watch if you like folklore, and devotional fantasy
