Netflix hosted the grand trailer launch event for its highly anticipated upcoming film, IKK , in Mumbai on June 29, 2026.

While Akshaye Khanna could not attend the physical launch in person, he sent a dramatic voice note for fans and the media, teasing his character’s legal clash with Sunny Deol: ”Kuch mulaqatein stage par nahi ho sakti. Agar ho gayi, to zalzalaa aa sakta hai! Isiliye IKKA aur main ab sirf Netflix ki screen par milenge, 10 July ko. Taiyaar rehna.” (Some meetings can’t happen on stage. Dia Mirza said that filming a scene where she had to slap Akshaye Khanna was quite difficult. “I was really nervous because Akshaye has such a huge fan following. I was scared, and now they’ve even included that scene in the trailer. It was also the first scene we shot together.” She further said, “One of the most interesting things about this film was that my very first day of shooting was with Akshaye Khanna. He is a powerhouse performer, and I truly admire his acting. It was a difficult scene, but everything fell into place
Tillotama Shome shared a humorous incident from the sets. “I had never seen Akshaye Khanna smile. One day after pack-up, I saw a man walking towards me with a smile. I smiled back and walked past him. Then he called out, ‘Tillotama.’ When I turned around, I realised it was Akshaye Khanna. I couldn’t recognise him because he was smiling

Directed by Siddharth P. Malhotra and produced by Alchemy Films, IKKA is a high-stakes legal thriller exploring morality, shifting loyalties, and family bonds.
