Cocktail 2,Trailer Was Launched At A Grand Event

The grand trailer launch event for Cocktail 2 took place in Mumbai on June 2, 2026.

Cocktail 2,is the sequel to the 2012 romantic drama starring Saif Ali Khan, Deepika Padukone, and Diana Penty, this new installment brings a fresh cast into a chaotic modern love triangle.

The event was packed with playful banter, relationship talk, and plenty of laughs from the lead trio—Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon, and Rashmika Mandanna, alongside director Homi Adajania and producer Dinesh Vijan.

Following the trailer launch at media Q&A When the cast was asked if they had ever been in a love triangle, producer Dinesh Vijan playfully roasted Shahid Kapoor’s high-profile dating history from years ago, saying, “Shahid has gotten stuck in a couple of triangles. In fact, he didn’t do a triangle but a hexagon.” Shahid quickly fired back with a laugh: “It was a circle that started from the same place and ended at the same place!”

​Rashmika on Her “First Love”: When journalists asked about first love, Rashmika (who recently married actor Vijay Deverakonda) swiftly shut down any past talk, saying, “I am very happy being married right now, so I shouldn’t backtrack.

Shahid’s Wisdom on Relationships: Adding to the romance debate, Shahid noted, “Everyone remembers their first love, but what matters is your last love. You don’t even know you’re in love the first time… Love is actually when you settle down and someone accepts you for exactly who you are.”

Written by Luv Ranjan and directed by Homi Adajania, the film leans heavily on romance, messy relationships, amidst gorgeous Italian backdrops.

The trailer follows Shahid Kapoor’s character navigating the complications of dating a friend while befriending a date, with Kriti Sanon and Rashmika Mandanna’s characters eventually confronting each other.

​The sequel brings back a massive wave of nostalgia for fans of the original by incorporating a refreshed version of the 2012 hit track, “Tum Hi Ho Bandhu”.

​Cocktail 2 is officially scheduled to hit theaters on June 19, 2026.
