The trailer of Aakhri Sawal is finally out, and from the very first scene, it dives into some of the most sensitive and controversial moments of India’s political history.The trailer opens with visuals related to former prime minister Indira Gandhi announcing the Emergency. From there, the story quickly moves into political conflicts, ideological debates and difficult questions that have triggered public discussions for decades.

Aakhri Sawal marks the return of Sameera Reddy, who leaves a strong impact despite limited screen time in the promo. Alongside her, actors Amit Sadh, Namashi Chakraborty, Nitu Chandra and Tridha Choudhury also appear in key roles.
Directed by National Award-winning filmmaker Abhijeet Mohan Warang, the film is also making headlines for its inclusive approach. In a move to make it more accessible to audiences, the makers have confirmed that it will be the first Hindi film to release with integrated Indian Sign Language support for deaf audiences. They are also working towards making it more convenient for visually-challenged viewers.
Presented by Nikhil Nanda, Aakhri Sawal will release on May 15, 2026. The film will be released in Hindi, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam.
