Review Of Movie Dadi Ki Shaadi – A Comedy Movie Layered With Social Message

Overview:Dadi Ki Shaadi is a family dramedy that tackle themes of elderly loneliness and the social stigma surrounding late-life companionship

Storyline: The story revolves around Vimla Ahuja (Neetu Kapoor), a spirited widow living in Shimla .Her life takes a turn when she accidentally posts on Facebook about her upcoming “marriage” and she is happy about it , This action cause ripples to her children who stay in Delhi , coinciding with her granddaughter’s (Sadia Khateeb) engagement to Tony Kalra (Kapil Sharma) and sparking generational conflicts and meltdowns. Vimla’s sons, Jeevan (Deepak Dutta) and Nagendra (Jitendra Hooda), along with Tony, rush to Shimla upon learning of her plan to marry a retired army officer (a dashing R. Sarathkumar ) Both Sons and Tony find ways to break this marriage by emotional blackmail and humilation , to top all this Vimla’s daughter played by Kapoor’s daughter Riddhima Kapoor in her debut) returns from Singapore to add another layer of property rights to the story. All of them are determined to stop the wedding they make series of attempts but thereon some twist and turns happen wherein Tony Kalra secretly helps Vimla as he understands loneniless of widowed women and her needs to see her children more ofter ,He is trying to manage his own one-sided love story with the granddaughter while dealing with Daadi’s bold plans for remarriage.

All this forms crux of the movie.

Technical Review : The director has presented a simple story that will relate to all Indian Family , It showcases loneliness of elderly persons whose children don’t stay or care for them which is so common these days , The plot is predictetable but the making is new , the location setting is good , it’s shot in Shimla that makes the movie charming , comedy is situational .

Performances : Neetu Kapoor is a delight to watch on big screen , for her warmth and grace. She is described as the emotional anchor of the film, effectively portraying the vulnerability of an aging woman seeking a second chance at joy

Kapil Sharma brings lnatural humor and energy to the narrative without overshadowing the emotional core

He fiddles both by trying to workout his one sided love and Dadi’s marriage hues

Final Words :If you enjoy light-hearted family entertainers with a progressive message, Dadi Ki Shaadi is a decent one-time watch, primarily for Neetu Kapoor’s radiant screen presence.
