Director Geoff Safdie
Star Cast :Timothée Chalamet, Gwyneth Paltrow, Odesa A’zion, Kevin O’Leary, Emory Cohen and others

Overview : The film is based on Table Tennis Player Marty Mausier bio pic but the bio pic is shown in an unconventional way
Storyline:It’s 1952, and Marty Mauser (Timothée Chalamet) is a salesman at a shoe store, owned by his uncle, on New York’s Lower East Side. When his friend Rachel (Odessa A’zion) enters the store, they go into the back for a quickie, which leads to her pregnancy. (She’s married to another man.) Marty then heads off to a ping-pong championship in London, where he lives well beyond his means. He is defeated by a Japanese Table Tennis champion , Koto Endo Marty at that time decides to defeat Keto Endo at the upcoming world championship of ping pong happening in Japan , but he doesn’t have any financial aid to reach Japan , On the other hand he meets famous actor Kay (Gwyneth Paltrow), who’s lived out of the spotlight in a marriage to an abrasive businessman named Rockwell (Kevin O’Leary). Marty and Kay start an affair. not just for fun both he wanted to use her as ladder to reach her husband who can take him to Japan for ping pong game , On the other hand Marty Comes to know that his girlfriend Rachel is pregnant with his child .But due to Marty’s over confidence and attitude he keeps on falling in trouble so much so that his debt reaches sky high and he is in mess with his relationship with Rachel , When Marty finds that he is unable to clear his debts he has to hustle his way out of the debt via some elaborate, dangerous adventures and even a gangster is also involved, there by many twist and turns take place that forms the crux of the movie.

Technical Review :Safdie’s direction is pure controlled chaos.Table tennis matches are staged like prize fights, backroom hustles feel dangerous, and Marty’s relentless forward motion becomes the film’s heartbeat. The film captures the intoxicating rush of chasing a dream no one else respects, while never pretending that such obsession comes without collateral damage
Marty Supreme is not without itsflaws . At 150 minutes, the film occasionally mistakes excess for necessity. Safdie’s fascination with narrative sprawl sometimes works against momentum, most notably in the extended subplot involving criminal Ezra Mishkin’s (Abel Ferrara) dog., it ultimately feels stretched but the movie could survive without this sequence
Performances:Timothy Chalamet is Undoubtedly the star of Marty Supreme. He clearly stands out with his hard-hitting performance .The actor makes the character feel real rather than designed. Gwyneth Paltrow is just fine as Kay Stone. She brings required grace and dignity while playing a yesteryear star.Talking about Odessa A’zion, the actress does justice to her character Rachel.
Final Words : Marty Supreme is a thrilling, messy, exhausting ride – a film about belief as both weapon and liability.
