Overview: Single Salma’ explores a woman’s journey to self-discovery amid societal and family pressures

Storyline: The story is set in Lucknow , and revolves around Salma ( Huma Qureshi), who is single and in her thirties , she is working in works company in Lucknow , she is a engineer , she has the responsibility of whole family on her shoulders , family consisting of her parents and siblings , she has worked hard and got her sisters married , she remained single to fulfill her duties , but her mother is worried and manages to convince her to get married now , during this process she meets Sikander ( Shreyas Talpade) whose background and circumstances matches with her, they both get engaged to get married, but before marriage Salma gets an opportunity for work related training in U.K along with her team , which will help them improve the infrastructure of Lucknow and transform it into a ‘Smart City’.,

Sikander convinces Salma’s parents to send her to London and postpone the wedding.

Salma reaches London , there she meets Meet( Sunny Singh) , who works closely with her and her team , Salma totally enjoys her life ,and open to do things that are forbidden in Lucknow , slowly Salma gets attracted to Meet but given his British mindset and ideologies of life, she is confused , in one side It’s Meet and back home Sikander , what will Salma do when the training is completed,forms the crux of the movie

Technical Review :The story, is progressive and follows the ideas of feminism and living life on your own terms .The climax of the movie is something to look forward to , the climax makes it different from other such stories . But only issue is Salma and Siksnder lacks emotional connect and Salma quickly changes her perception as soon as she reaches London , which makes the character unrelatable.

Performances: Huma Qureshi has always done bold characters,in this movie also she has done the same , she carries the whole film on her shoulder. Sunny Singh and Shreyas Talpade have given average performance

Final Words : It’s a light and Progressive Movie which can be enjoyed this weekend
