Overview: Sitaare Zameen Par is about redemption that dawns amid a haze of scepticism.
Storyline : The story is set in New Delhi and it revolves around Assistant Football Coach Gulshan ( Aamir Khan)who is not only unhappy with his job but he is also struggling to sort out differences between him and his wife Suneeta (Genelia D’souza) , difference is mainly on the issue that Genelia wants a child but Gulshan don’t want it .Amidst all this Gulshan gets suspended from the job due to slapping the senior coach leading to Gulshan gets involved in drunk and drive case that also hitting a police van , The judge enforced him to community service ,training a group of individuals with intellectual disability for a basketball championship for the specially abled. His world gets shattered when he meets team of people with down syndrome, he is totally upset and struggles to train them and on the other hand also mocks them and underestimates them ,
Gurpal Singh’s who is the founder of this community tells that every individual in this world has their own ‘normal , their normal is their shortcmg, he should accept it , slowly and gradually Gulshan trains them , he realises soon that infact they have taught him a good lesson , of making your shortcmgs your strength and how to face one’s issues and be happy for one and another that forms the crux of the movie.
Technical Review :Director R.S.Prassana had very well directed this movie , R. S. Prasanna tells us a beautiful story of how the specially abled people have their own normal, which in fact, is more optimistic and endearing, than the so-called normal people.
Sitaare team finding joy even in the adversities, Sitaare Zameen Par has many scenes which will leave you with happy tears. Not only this but the movie also has some comedic gags,that keeps audience entertained from beginning till end only flaw is the editing could have been more crisp ,so length of the movie could have been precise.
Performances: Aamir Khan has nailed , he is arrogant ,impulsive irresponsible and toxic in first half, all these traits he has showcased beautifully in his performance, in the second half overcmg his fear , CMG to terms with many life lessons that the sitaare team teaches him , he has played it to perfection , The sitare team consisting of Aroush Dutta, Gopi Krishnan Varma, Vedant Sharma, Naman Misra, Rishi Shahani, Rishabh Jain, Ashish Pendse, Samvit Desai, Simran Mangeshkar, and Aayush Bhansali, who are absolutely flawless and endearing with their performances
Genelia D’souza is too good and her chemistry with Aamir Khan is something to look forward to.
Dolly Ahluwalia is an all rounder with epic scenes of comedy ,motivation and emotions played by her beautifully.
Final Words : Sitaare Zameen Par is a good entertaining movie which you can enjoy this weekend
