Storyline : The Story begins with IAF Wing Commander Kumar .O.Ahuja ( Akshay Kumar ) who is interrogating an Pakistani Air Force Soldier who they had caught during 1965 Air Strikes , during Interrogation It is revealed that IAF Comrade T.K Vijaya aka Tabby ( Veer Pahariya) who had gone missing , he might be alive , from there on the story goes in flashback
Squadron Leader Kumar Om Ahuja is a no-nonsense IAF officer and whose team is referred to as the tigers , He is an elder brother figure and mentor to IAF officer TK Vijaya aka Tabby . In 1965 when Pakistani Air Force attack the IAF airfields at Adampur, Halwara, and Pathankot , out of the blue , in retaliation, IAF plan an airstrike on the Pakistan Air Force in Sargodha on September 7, 1965 , this mission was next to impossible and it was named as Mission Sky which was to be conductef under the leadership of Kumar Om Ahuja However, Tabby’s inclination to take excessive risks and aggressive approach leads him to be kept as a standby on this dangerous mission.
However, sensing a threat to his comrades, Tabby goes on a dangerous mission breaking all protocol’s during this mission Tabby soon goes missing in action.
Kumar Om Ahuja , when he comes to know that Tabby has gone missing but from the info given by Pakistani Comrade , hopes were pinned that Tabbyv might be alive , Kumar then goes to great length to find him , as he had promised Tabby’s wife Geeta (Sara Ali Khan) that he will protect him always .On this Journey he comes to know that Tabby had not only risked his life to protect his fellow comrades but also he has changed the course of aviation history and technology
Meanwhile, Tabby’s wife, Geeta (Sara Ali Khan), has her hopes pinned onto Ahuja to find her husband,Whether Kumar be able to find Tabby And also gets him honour and medal that he deserved forms the crux of the movie
Technical Review : The air combat sequences are choreographed well, and the background score matces as per the sequences .A fine amount of research has been put up behind exploring the dynamics of the military aircraft of both the Indian and Pakistani air forces. It’s a very well directed movie .The First Half Has Most Of The Air Combat Sequences ,continuing in second half foe sometime and then mission to find Missing Tabby keeps the audience totally engaged .It will certainly developed Feelings of Patriotism in audience but it is not Preachy at all
Performances : Akshay Kumar is good in these type of roles , he is in his element totally doing justice to his role .Veer Pahariya is too good , he ihas done fabulous debut In this film, with total confidence ,Sara Ali Khan did not had much scope to act.Nimrat Kaur has a cameo role but she is good in it remembering audience of Airlift movie.
Final Words : Its a good watch this weekend in sync with the Republic Day when emotions of Patriotism is high in each individual .It’s fast paced and engaging movie
