Overview : Baby John is an adaptation of Theri 2016 movie directed by Atlee starting
Thallapathy Vijay

Storyline : The Story Revolves Around John ( Varun Dhawan) who is living a normal &quiet life
along with his daughter Khushi ( Zara Zyanna) , down south where John runs a small bakery for
source of income. Things were going smoothly until John’s past catches up with him and then it
is revealed that John was Deputy Commissioner of Police Satya Verma Mumbai , he was a
righteous cop and always worked for protection of girls and children., during that time only he
ruffled wrong feathers with Nana ( Jackie Shroff) who is a menacing goon , who has vast
business of human trafficking and his son who is into politics is a criminal and wanted for rape
and murder of Many school girls.Satya punishes him for the hideous crimes , this leads to Nana
taking revenge which leads to tragic murder of Satya’s wife Meera (Keerthy Suresh) and
mother (Sheeba Chadha).
Satya fakes his death and he alongwith his daughter moves down south and change his identity
as John D’Silva , buy after 3 years again Nana has returned , so Satya is forced to be back to
protect his daughter , he goes to any length to protect his daughter that firms the crux of the
movie.

Technical Review : Director Kalees and Atlee tried to retain the massy and
adrenaline-pumping essence of Theri but the film falls flat due to faulty
screenplay and bad editing as in one shot action sequences are set in
Mumbai in next they are shot down south ,the writing itself has many
potholes .The music is average , action sequences are good editing is bad as
songs are thrown in between action sequences ,the music is average ,the
only icing on the cake is cameo by Super star Salman Khan and his humourous banter with Varun Dhawan.

Performances : Varun Dhawan has put in genuine efforts in the action sequences which one
can feel but his emotions are not in sync infact there is chemistry is not up to date between Him
and the heroine Keerthy Suresh.
Keerthy Suresh is looking good but has less screen time ,same with Wamiqa Gabbi .Jackie
Shroff In A Negative Role is too good .He is totally looking very menacing and done a managing
role equally .
Surprising package is Rajpal Yadav he has tried his hand on doing some action scence , and
his dailogue Comedy is a serious business which is a blast .
Child Artist Zara Zyana is too cute and confident.

Final Words : Watch for strong action sequences and Salman’s Cameo this holiday season
