Review of Movie Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video- A Crowded Comedy With Many Twists

Overview : A Comedy Set In Nineties Which is a mix of social msg , crime and odd supernatural twist

Storyline : The story is set in Rishikesh in Nineties era where Vicky ( Rajkummar Rao) is a  Professional Mehndi Artist  and Vidya ( Tripti Dimri) is a doctor by profession , though they are poles apart professionally but they love each other and both of them get married .Vicky’s family consist of his grandfather,  his younger brother and his sister Chanda ( Mallika Sherawat ) who hates marriage and in quest of finding love she has eloped from home multiple times .When Vicky and Vidya gets married,  instead of following Tradition to visit Vaishno Devi Temple , they go to goa for honeymoon , there they also record video of their honeymoon so that they can watch that video anytime back home . After their honeymoon gets over they return home , after few days Vicky & Vidya plan to watch their honeymoon video on vcr at night , as soon as they start the vcr player , a robber attacks their home , everthing turns chaotic. The burglar also takes their VC , Vicky later realises that their honeymoon video has been stolen as it was inside the Vcr when it was stolen , When Police Inspector played by Vijay Raaz comes to investigate the robbery he falls for Chanda who had returned home , Inspector conducts the investigation , on the other hand Vicky himself try to hunt for the cd , this all leads him to chor bazaar and further he gets tangled in an half murder case ,Vicky gets arrested but with help of vidya and grandfather he escape from there from thereon his goal is to find the cd at any cost , he gets a call from someone that if he wants the cd then he has to make payment of Two lakhs , where will all this lead and even a bug secret is revealed  which  forms the crux of the film 

Technical Review : Raaz Shandilya is good at potraying comedy , ,he started his career with writing comedy show , comedy circus .In this film also first half is entertaining and humurous , but in second half the story goes hay wire , many characters ate added in second half and in climax He has tried to give stree wala horror sequence in a graveyard , which is useless and goes off track . Bur the director reveals a huge message that never record or make video of your personal moments which can lead to lots of trouble if it gets lost or misplaced.

Performances : Rajkummar Rao had given a good performance , as small town person role suits him a lot .Tripti Dimri is also good , she speaks much with her eyes .Surprise package is chemistry between Mallika Sherawat And Vijay Raaz , both have given hilarious performance ,, others are fine as per their role

 

Final Words : If you like comedy movies with a twist then you can watch the movie.
