Story line :On its surface, Love Lies Bleeding, co-written by Glass and Weronika Tofilska, is the love story of two desperate young women. Lou ( Kristen Stewar) who is a moody gym manager trying to protect her sister Beth (Jena Malone) from her abusive husband (Dave Franco). Jackie (Katy O’Brian) is a bodybuilder who dreams of winning an upcoming competition in Las Vegas. When Lou and Jackie meet, they fall for each other hard, but Jackie soon gets sucked into the deadly world of Lou’s father who is Jackie’s father and a crime master Plus, Jackie may be hiding a few secrets herself thereon many layers and layers of crime ,love , lies and bleeding as the title is which forms the crux of the film
Technical Review : Director Rose Glass, who made her feature-length debut in 2019 with Saint Maud, delivers on a bold and confident effort. The way that she depicts the tortured relationship Lou has with her family, as well as Jackie’s self-destructive narrative arc, brings an intensity to the production that never lets up, not even for a minute.
Performances : Christin Stewar as Lou has given a fabulous performance. She has beautifully blended the loyalty for the people around her alongwith baggage full of traumatic childhood. Katy o brien as Jackie is also too good .
Final Words:Though its an odd love story with a sprinkle of crime narrative , its fast paced
