Storyline : The story of the film starts with Article 370 which has been revoked in Kashmir. Pakistan gets shocked by this decision. Pakistan in order to teach a lesson to India on this decision the general of pakistan takes the support of a terrorist gang called ‘Outfit X’, whose leader Jim (John Abraham) who used to be a brave and patriotic agent of RAW at one time. But in a mission his pregnant wife was brutally killed in front of him. while the govt s sit hand in hand and does not support him , it is from here that the feeling of hatred and vengeance for the country becomes strong inside mind of Jim He, along with the enemies of the country, becomes determined to destroy his own country.
To deal with this dire situation, Indian Intelligence Force Chief Nandini (Dimple Kapadia) and the head of the force, Colonel Luthra (Ashutosh Rana) recruit their most capable agent Pathan and his team. During this mission to capture Jim and find out his intentions, Pathan meets Rubai (Deepika Padukone), an ISI agent. If Jim’s aim is destruction, then Pathan’s only aim is to save his country, but Rubai proves to be such a thread between these two heroes and villains, who stand between the thin line of trust and betrayal. Thereafter there are many twist and turns ,and what intentions jim has forms the crux of the film.
Technical Review : Siddarth Anand has very well directed the movie , With this movie Siddarth Anand has reached new heigths in action movie , the action sequences , helicopter chases , exotic locations , shooting in extreme locations such as Dubai, Afghanistan , Spain , Paris etc are with brilliant photography , stunt sequences between Shahrukh and John are something to look forward too , the icing on the cake is special appearance by Salman khan , there is fun banter between Salman and Shahrukh is something to look forward too.
Performances : Shahrukh Khan is looking great with his chiseled body with demeanor through eyes and body language, the agility of the action sequences, his swag in romantic songs and the words ‘Ek Soldier Desh se nahi hota ki Desh ne usse liye kya kiya kiya, woh poochta hai, woh desh liye
John Abraham as Jim , has given performance of his lifetime with a negative character , very well played by him ..
Salman Khan special appearance takes the movie to next level
Deepika Pudkone is sensous and tougj at the same time , she has done action sequences with zeal ..at par with hollywood
Final Words : A total masala film complete with thrill and chills .A must watch this Republic Day with your family
