Overview : A bitterly divorced couple teams up in Bali to break up their daughter’s unexpected wedding plans in Ticket to Paradise,
Storyline : David (Clooney) and Georgia (Roberts) are visiting Bali for the wedding of their daughter, Lily (Kaitlyn Dever), who’s recently completed law school. The groom to be is Gede (Maxime Bouttier), a local seaweed farmer who Lily met just a few months prior, on her post-graduation getaway to the island. Her parents reluctantly join forces in order to sabotage this whirlwind romance, hopefully preventing their daughter from giving up on law for good and making the same mistakes that they did 25 years ago, as young lovers rushing into an ill-fated marriage
Technical Review : The director has very well directed the movie , he has very well managed to showcase Indonesian culture working with cultural advisors to ensure its authenticity. The destination of the story might be inevitable, but at least there’s some freshness to the scenes as a result
The seaside locations in Bali, as captured through cinematographer Ole Bratt Birkeland’s lens, look gorgeous throughout, and add a lot to the cinematic experience

Performances : Clooney and Julia Roberts, too, must get us to buy into their character’s relationship despite being at each other’s throats throughout most of the movie. Playing off each other with the kind of rat-a-tat insults that might have been tossed back and forth , they build up an irresistible rapport over the course of the film – and prove they’ve still got the star-power chops to lead something like Ticket to Paradise.
The supporting cast, largely made up of Gede’s extended family including father Wayan (Agung Pindha) and mother Losi (Cintya Dharmayanti), also adds to the cinematic experience
Final Words : Ticket to Paradise is exactly that, a fun destination wedding rom-com with Hollywood megastar leads and a savvy script, filmed in a truly magnificent location
