Review of Movie Hit – The First Case : A thriller With Super Twist

Overview : Its hindi remake of telegu film by the same name .But do remakes work read on.

Storyline : The story is set in Jaipur , where Vikram (Rajkummar Rao) works for Homicide Investigation Team, he is a star officer , a top ràted one  but he suffers from PSTD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder )triggered by past traumatic experience whose visuals comes in his mind  each time he tries to investigates a case .His girlfriend Neha works in forensic department of his team..Due to his frequent panic attack Neha suggest him to take a break for 3 months , reluctantly he goes to his hometown, but unfortunately after a period of 2 months he comes to know that Neha is missing , he is totally shattered .All hell breaks lose when he takes up the case of missing teenager girl named Priti , upon investigation he comes to know that priti’s dissapearance  is connected with her lady love’s  disappearance. Vikram there on embarks on a gruelling cat and mouse chase with perpetrator , that forms the crux of the film.The more he investigates the more case gets complicated.

Technical Review : The screenplay  by Director Dr Sailesh Kolanu make way for engaging subplots .The first half of the movie tackles with main investigation surrounding the case with brilliant subplots that will keep you edged to your seat.The tribulations faced by the protagonist while working on the case intertwined with his past trauma are intricately etched out in many parts of the movie. The cinematography is brilliant..It is the second half of the movie that dissapoints you. Just when you’re at the peak of your anticipation surrounding the climax, you get a lousy screenplay and loose ends to the plotline. There is no conviction regarding the motive  of the crime  which tends to disappoint. 

Performances : RajKummar Rao carries the entire fil on his shoulders.There are many emotions Vikram goes through – anger, fear, pain, loss and,  traumatic events. Rajkummar Rao is terrific in HIT – The First Case. Actor with such caliber only can easily to pull off such challenging roles because he is extremely talented. Sanya Malhotra does not have much screen space ..More than half a time she is missing in the movie.Others are good as per their role.

Final Word : Hit – The first case that is whodunnit story that will leave you guessing till the climax .The investigation part is mind bending but second half could have been much better if the plot would not have been lousy .Watch it for Rajkummar Rao’s stellar performance.
