Overview ; A roller coster ride of emotions and comedy packed in an attractive package
Storyline : The story is set in town of Patiala in Punjab , Where Kuku ( Varun Dhawan ) and Naina (Kiara Advani ) are childhood sweet hearts , After graduation Kuku proposes to Naina , and both of them get married , Naina gets a good job in canada so both kuku and naina move to canada , five years down the line , both of them faces problems in their marriage. Naina is over ambitious on the other hand Kuku is unsuccessful , their marriage is on the brink of divorce , but kuku doesn’t want to spill the beans to his parents yet as his younger sister is getting married , When they reach their home in punjab ,Kuku comes to know that his father Bheem ( Anil Kapoor ) also is in similiar situation , he too wants to take divorce from his wife Geeta ( Neetu Kapoor), apart from that he is also having an extra marital affair , Along with this plot also there is a parallel track therein kuku’s sister is pinning for her ex at her mandap. How kuku will deals with his and his family mess forms the crux of the movie.
Technical Review : Director Raj Mehta has done a fantastic job , and had very well directed the movie , when the ensemble star cast is huge then it is challenging for the director to give equal scope to each of the actors. thats the strength of the movie each actor has been given scope to act and not just the main lead . The director has optimized each actor’s character as per their strength , Anil Kapoor gets best scenes and dialogues Varun Dhawan gets emotional scenes , Kiara also gets scenes which are quite strong , Neetu kapoor gets subtle role.The movie has dealt with the sensitive subjects like saving a marriage , it also reveals that compromise in marriage and maintaining self respect are 2 different things..The director has dealt with these subjects with lots of humour and emotions ,keeping the movie light and engaging .
Performances : Anil Kapoor is in his element , best and young at heart , Varun Dhawan has lots of emotional scenes and he switches between emotional and humourous scenes with ease ,Kiara Advani has got some nice scenes especially with Neetu Kapoor , the conversation between Kiara and Neetu are too good and even shot beautifully.
Neetu Kapoor is a deligth to watch on a big screen , she is a total punjaban but with modern thinking
Final Words : Jug Jug Jeeyo is an totally entertaining movie with good quirky dailogues and lots of humour which u can watch with family
