Synopsis:The Play is set in 1950’s, A time when people were crazy for Bombay Cinema Actors and Villians on the Silver Screen were pronounced evil for life.This was also the time when young girls were shunned from dancing or entering film industry.

During this time ,Shyam a film director is intrigued by Iravati, a kathak dancer , Shyam intends to cast her in his next film., but her brother Kumar  who is a failed actor is adamant about keeping Shyam away from Irawati.Instead of it being an act of jealousy , kumar harbours a deep dark secret ..Also Shyam has secrets of his own, To know about it audience can watch the play.

 Main Review : The play is a tribute to the golden era of 1950’s…This play is a musical play and it is very well directed play.Each every act will leave you mesmerised ..

The play indicates the importance of  family and its value .The main highlight of the play was the thumris of that bygone era , the thumris and the music are very well researched , The state if mind of each character is very well depicted through these thumris , Irawati’s kathak dance is too intriguing,  will leave you asking for more , The performances by each and every artist will touch your heart ..Their expressions and presentation will leave audience mesmerised and will leave a mark deep i  your heart The classical music and thumris combination was too good and a refreshing change.

Final Words : Overall Dhappa is submerged in mystique and drama .A must watch play
