Review Of Movie Runway 34 – A thrill And Chill Movie

Overview :Runway 34 is a combination of thrill and drama 

Storyline : The film begins with Captain Vikrant Khanna (Ajay Devgan) .who is seen partying in dubai at a club with his freind till wee hours of the morning subsequently the evening he has a flight to fly from dubai to cochin, though a little wary  he is confident about his flying skills as he says his co pilot Tanya Albaquerky (Rakul Preet) that he has photogenic memory , he remembers all weather details in one shot , Anyway once the flight takes off   ,45 mins before landing at cochin they get a msg from Ats that its not possible to land in cochin due to bad weather condition and low visibility , but then too Vikrant attempted 3  rounds to land but could not , this lead to wastage of fuel , Tanya tells him that they should land in Banglore instead of Thiruvanthapuram as the weather condition there too were same   as Vikrant had decided to land there and had send Mayday msg too  Totally ignoring Tanya , Vikrant  attempts to land the flight with zero visibility but using his instinct and his brain he successfully lands the flight on runway 34 which is too risky as the runway ends at the edge of a mountain.. Though there were no casualties for which Vikrant got praises from passengers as well as media , but still AAIB Headed by Amitabh Bachchan had to set up investigation agsinst Vikrant for breaking rules and taking risk of lives of 140 passengers and crew members ,, what the investigation leads to forms the rest of the story.

Technical Review : As we know that this movie is Produced , Directed and Acted by Ajay Devgan himself ,  Vfx used in the film is brilliant , Ajay Devgan has acted well as Vikrant Khanna the pilot and he has very well debated with Amitabh Bachchan but still his expressions were not connecting , the emotional touch was missing , he has more focused on directing than acting .The first half is thrilling but second half when investigation scenes are there those are bit dragging .

Performances : The Movie is totally Ajay Devgan and Amitabh Bachchan, Ajay is terrific but Mr Bachchan is splendid we can see a touch of pink in him ..Rakul Preet is good though she has not much to do , Boman Irani as Airiline Skyline 777 owner is in his skin totally .

Final Words : The film is based on true events when jet airways flight from doha to cochin had a narrow escape due to bad weather and low visibility in 2015..This is a visual presentation of that event so you can watch it on big screen .
