Review of Movie Operation Romeo

Overview : Operation Romeo is about the bullying of a young couple by the people in society, as the film highlights the social issues deeply

Storyline : The story revolves around young couple , Aditya (Siddhant Gupta) who is a It professional, he takes his girlfriend     (Vedika Pinto )who is a college student , on a long drive to celebrate her birthday , from suburbs of mumbai to town side , they both are enjoying their company , Aditya at around 2 am at night parks his car in a deserted parking lot of a hospital, he and his girlfriend are about to get cozy with each other , they are harassed by 2 men ,posing as policemen Mangesh (Sharad Kelkar), and Kiran ( Kishore Kadam) for getting cozy in public parking lot , this leads to series of incident on that night  takes toll on their relationship forms the rest of the story.

Technical Review : The director Shashant Shah and producer dui  has tried to make it a thriller that will educate youngsters but ends up making a very confused plot in the climax , Aditya the hero potray his inability to handle the harassment, so much so that his girlfriend neha tells him is he man enough , this triggers him so much that he leaves her in her hostel premises, he is not bothered whether neha is ok , but more concerned about what happened that night in the when he had gone to withdraw money from atm , did the harrasers touch her or so.Director has stretched too far in the first half that you will feel lethargic due to slow pace, though the second half picks up but climax is again left in question mark..The movie talks about 2 points , one is regarding the safety of women no matter in which city you reside and second about social stigma that a girl had to face if something unethical happens with her,will the boyfriend /society accept her like before ard questions that the director wants people to ponder over.

Performances : Sidhant Gupta is good , his expressions of fear  , then anger and possessiveness is done by him aptly, Vedika has not much to do except potray expressions of fear which she has done confidently , still for both of them its a long way yet..Sharad Kelkar and Kishore Kadam have done good job, Sharad has managed to create the situation of fear to perfection.
