Novelist Pankaj Dubey had invited guests and media to the launch of his upcoming book “LOVE CURRY”(Published by Penguin).
The book was launched by Sanjay Suri, Award Winning Actor and Producer.
Pankaj Dubey is a Bestselling Bi-lingual Novelist and Filmmaker. Both his titles What A Loser! and Ishqiyapa -To Hell With Love have been written by him in Hindi as well. He accentuates socio – political undercurrents with quirks and humour in his style of writing. He is an International Journalist And Writer.
The Book was launched by Sanjay Suri , who very sportingly expressed his desire to work in the film based on this latest book love curry if ever made and on a light note added if ever the protagonist in the novel can be little elder like him . Speaking about his upcoming project , Sanjay said that his new movie which is a psychological thriller will be releasing in Jan coincidentally most of his movies are Jan release.
The event was followed by screening of Pankaj Dubey’s first directorial venture ‘Maratha Mandir Cinema’. This short film is produced by actress Sarika and Vagabond Motion Pictures and the film features Sarika and Swanand Kirkire.
The film is a tribute to Marathi Mandir Cinema and its decision to stop the screening of the film Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge in its 19th year and how it has faced strong resentment from the sex workers of Kamathipura , India’s second largest red light district
Sarika has produced the movie along with Pankaj Dubey . This is Sarika’s first production in collaboration with Pankaj Dubey.
Recently this movie is nominated in the Film are short movies category for best short film
