Director: Lance Oppenheim Cast: Robert Pattinson, Merritt Wever, Skyler Gisondo Overview: Primetime (2026) is a neo-gothic media satire and psychological thriller Storyline: The movie is Set in 2006 during the peak of dial-up internet and sensationalist cable news,  where sting operationsvwere very popularThe story stars Chris Hansen (Robert Pattinson) as a charismatic,  NBC anchor looking to make his mark. Partnering with network producer Andie Bender (Merritt Wever) and a zealot internet vigilante group led by Xavier Von Erck (Matthew Maher), Hansen launches a national sting-operation program designed to lure predators into decoy houses to confront them live on camera.  ​As the show ranges nto a viral ratings phenomenon, the operation hires Dan Plumb (Skyler Gisondo), a naive, young actor desperate for a SAG card to play the decoy. The film tracks the psychological decay of everyone involved as Hansen's ego, the network's greed, and the mob mentality of the viewing public turn a moral mission into  prime-time spectacle.  All this forms crux of the movie.
