Overview: Ramayana: Part 1 is a grand visual spectacle that successfully sets up an epic narrative .
Storyline: The first installment establishes the groundwork of the epic, the film begins with initially how Asur’s were defeated by lord Indra and then after long exile in deep orbit dashanan (Ravaan ) is activated by his mother , to take charge and prepare for revenge from Indra , Dashanan does very difficult tapasya and gains vardan from lord Vishnu that no one can defeat him or kill him from thereon he wbecomes lord of all 3 Loks , Pataal Lok ,Orthvi Lok and Akash Lok he is called Ravaan ( Yash) .After that the movie moves to Ayodhya where the origins and early youth of Lord Ram, is shown his early trainings to become a warrior , moving through the royal courts of Ayodhya, the divine wedding with Sita, the emotional turn of Kaikeyi’s boon leading to the 14-year exile, is shown During the exile what happens to trio of Ram ,Seeta and Laxman in the dangerous junglea , dealing with demons and their stepping into Sri Lanka, and culminating into Seeta Haran all this forms crux of the movie
Technical Review : Nitesh Tiwary has taken over the biggest challenge of his career by directing Ramayana and he has fulfilled the story at his best by giving us a visually stunning movie , to enjoy .Sets of Ramayan is so grand that you are bound to love them and Music by Hans Zimmer and A.R.aRehman is too good both giants of Hollywood and Bollywood they come together for this is magnificent..
Supported by Prime Focus/DNEG, the CGI and visual world-building elevate the film into a global visual spectacle. Set-pieces such as the Devlok battles, the Ravana vs. Jatayu confrontation, and the climactic sequence set a high benchmark for Indian fantasy filmmaking. Only drawback is less emotional depth and less chemistry between Ranbir and Sai pallavi
In this part the movie movie ends with Sita abduction making path for part 2 cmg up shortly.
Performances: Yash’s portrayal of Ravana/Dashanan is highlighted as the definitive peak of the film. Given significant screen time and a rich backstory , Yash delivers a magnetic, commanding performance that dominates the screen
Ranbir Kapoor brings a serene, graceful presence to Lord Ram His character’s restrained nature comes across as slightly robotic or distant in emotional scenes. Sai Pallavi’s Sita offers warmth and grace, her chemistry with Ram lacks deep emotional grounding.
The surprise part is , Ravie Dubey as Lakshman earns praise for bringing genuine conviction, fiery devotion, and sharp dialogue delivery to the role with some humour too to cut the heavy cgi scenes
Final Words : It’s a must watch for its visual glory and grand sets , Rams (Ranbir )Strength , Yash Ravana powerful performance , Laxman aka Ravie Dubey’s humour , Seeta’s aka Sai pallavi represents soul of movie and music by Hans Zimmer and A.R.Rehman gives it a divine touch .
The thunderous climax leads to Making of Part 2 which will be CMG diwali 2028 , with grand entry of Hanuman played by Sunny Deol .
