Overview : It’s a Supernatural Thriller Set Against Backdrop of Kashmir

Storyline :The story follows DSP Ridwaan Shafi Sayyid (Manav Kaul), a no-nonsense police officer, who is transferred to Baramulla to investigate a series of mysterious child disappearances.
In Reasi, where Ridwaan was previously posted, a horrifying hostage situation and an accidental gunshot death in a public school have shocked both ‘Ridwaan’ and his daughter, ‘Noorie’ resulting them to traumatic stress .So this transfer to small town in Baramulla comes as a breather for the family
In Baramullah,Ridwaan has to investigate the disappearance of Shohaib son of Ex -MLA .
.As he and his family settle in, strange, unexplainable occurrences begin to happen in their new home but Ridwaan does not believe in those
Also there are more cases of children dissapearing ,As Ridwaan further investigates the case , his own daughter too disappears from the house , due to some super natural activity at his home which forces Ridwaan to confront a darkness that blurs the lines between reality and the supernatural , there is a back story that happened 30years ago ,When ‘Ridwaan’s’ wife, ‘Gulnaar’ and their children, ‘Noorie’ and ‘Ayaan’ begin sensing a paranormal presence in their new house, they discover the spirits of a Kashmiri Pandit family who suffered a lot and experienced horrific atrocities in their home this forms the crux of the film
Technical Review : In 2016, the producer of the film, Aditya Dhar, wrote a short story on the Kashmiri Pandit community, who were forced to leave their homeland in the 1990s due to rising militancy and violence in the region. Now, the story has been adapted for the screen and Director Aditya Jambhale has beutifully transformed the story combining supernatural events with present scenario which is the USP of the film.
Performances: Manav Kaul Performance is the heart and soul of the film , his performance as a police officer who is torn between duty , fatherhood and his own personal trauma is too good to miss it .Bhasha as his wife is in sync with him .
Final Words : Baramulla is not a loud, jump-scare type of horror, but rather one that builds dread slowly and is deeply rooted in its setting.
