Storyline : Its not a regular movie but first of its kind documentary that makes it’s entry in cinemas .It showcases how 12th fail movie came into being and how much efforts went in its making .
The documentary is divided into chapters like a cherished diary, the film meticulously documents how 12th Fail—based on Anurag Pathak’s book—came to life .
In first chapter begins with script which is based on Anurag Pathak’s book , initially there were no takers for the script , no director was ready to direct it , Finally Vidhu Vinod Chopra Himself decided to direct the movie , each person of his team told him he cannot direct such movie as it’s not his niche , there are no action sequences nor swag or style .But Vcc was determined and he did not give up , the Further chapters showcase his journey of location hunting , cast selection , how each scene required lots of efforts ,
The shoot begins with filming in remote village of chambal from thereon to Delhi Mukherjee Nagar which was totally crowded with Upsc students. The Last chapter shows the perfect wheat flour mill location which needed to match with Vcc vision of the flour mill.
Through candid behind-the-scenes footage, the documentary invites viewers into Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s world where chaos and camaraderie coexist. His interactions reveal an endearing mix of stubborn perfectionism and familial warmth. The man’s charisma isn’t just in his cinematic vision but also in his ability to inspire.
