Storyline : The Story begins in 2017 when an elderly Murlikant Petkar (Kartik Aryan) comes ro a police station to file fir against president of India demanding that why he is not given arjuna award in spite of him winning a gold medal in paralympics , from thereon he narrates his story which is aet in Sangli Distict of Maharashtra, in Islampur a small village , explaining how from childhood , he had a desire to win gold medal in Olympic for Wrestling, resulting he becomes laughing stock for his village and his father ,but he is determined to achieve his goal , on his journey he meets some people who became torch bearer in his life , he joins military and through that he participates in boxing championship At Asian games his stepping ladder to olympics but fate had other plans , he loses in final boxing championship, he is then posted i. Kashmir in 1964 , and fate turns a dark mode. India is attacked by an enemy, in which Murli s is hit with 9 bullets , Despite surviving a prolonged coma and losing his ability to walk, Petkar’s spirit remains unbroken. The hurdles in Murlikant Petkar’s life were many, but none had the power to break his morale completely. From thereon he gets into training for swimming with help of his master ali to compete in paralympics, how he does that forms the crux of the film.
Technical Review : Kabir Khan the director has done a fabulous job , he has directed the movie very well with lots of precision and research.
The director effectively showcases Kartik Aaryan’s range, which few have explored before. One notable aspect of the film is how Kabir Khan allows supporting characters to shine, emphasizing their importance in Murlikant Petkar’s journey. From his brother to his friend and coach, each character is given prominence without distracting from the central premise.
There are many tragic turns in Murlikant’s life , which changes the landscape of the movie frequently keeping the audience hooked , and but every tragic turn pushes Murli further to achieve his goal.
Performances : Kartik Aryan has given performance of his life .Each and every emotions are portrayed by him with precision .His will power and confidence are shown honestly with empathy.
Vijay Raj as coach is brilliant .
Final Words : Kartik Aaryan’s phenomenal performance and Kabir Khan’s earnestness in telling the story of the unsung hero make this biopic an impactful watch.
