Overview :A passionate story of lost love between a couple depicting pain and vulnerability of strained relationship.
Storyline : The story revolves around married couple Kavya ( Vidya Balan) and Anirudh ( Pratik Gandhi ) who live in Mumbai , Kavya isva dentist and Anirudh runs his family business , both had eloped and had got married for 12 years , however for the past few years the couple only physically live together but mentally and emotionally are separated due to work schedules , their life had become monotonous. Due to lack of excitement and void in their personal life they both try to seek love outside their marriage , enters Sendhil Ramamurthy as Vikram dating Kavya and Nora ( Ileana D’Cruz) dating Anirudh .
But a twist comes when a sudden death in Kavya’s family happens ,and both Kavya and Anirudh had to go to ooty kavya’s hometown , Kavya’s family is offended with her as she has eloped and married , but after reaching ooty both Kavya and Anirudh get nostalgic and are flooded with memories of how both of them were deeply and madly in love with each other. They relive all those memories and once again their love blossoms , but when they will be back to Mumbai will kavya and Anirudh reconcile and realize how deep their love is or will they go back to their current dating partner forms the crux of the movie.
Technical Review : Director Shirsha Guha Thakurta has given a beautiful story about couple’s in today’s time who are going through mid life crisis in their relationship The importance of effective communication is what is lacking in many relationships and even friendships. The movie rightly shows what damage it could do if people choose silence over honesty about what’s truly in their hearts., director has potrayed this msg in a light and delightful way , the unique point of the movie is that Shirsha Guha Thakurta’s Do Aur Do Pyaar starts with first showing us Kavya and her lover Vikram and Ani and his girlfriend Nora sharing some cute and romantic moments together , leaving audience mesmerised of a cute love stories but in next sequence it is shown that Kavya And Aniridh Are Married Couple who are emotionally not at all connected and just act like robots creating a gloomy aura. The movie has some good dailogues that will connwct with middle aged couples.There are many hilarious monents too especially in Ooty Sequence.
Performances : Vidya Balan has given an outstanding performance , The actress gives hilarious dailogues and reactions perfectly as well as emotional secenes too with outstanding performance balancing both perfectly .Pratik Gandhi is exceptionally good However, Pratik brilliantly portrays Ani, capturing the character’s predicament through his quietness and occasional silliness. Chemistry between Vidya Prateek is too good to be missed .Sendhil and Ileana are too good throughout the movie.
Final Words : Enthralling storyline and sincere performances, it highlights the complexities of human relationships and the value of communication in overcoming challenges makes it a good weekend watch
