Overview : An all in all action movie with extensive use of defense technology
Storyline : The story begins with the entry of the antagonist Kabir (Prithvraj Sukumaram) who alo g with his troup in the northern himalayan range attacks the Indian Army Vans Carrying the most powerful technological weapon of India code name package , Kabir and his Army steal the weapon and warns Indian army he is here to change fate of India and the armed forces have 72 hours to stop them .He conveys a msg also that Ek Naya Dost Purana Dushman Hota Hai .The Indian Armed Force Lead by Colonel Azad ( Ronit Roy) thinks antagonist is some psychopath who is too dangerous.
Top with him he chooses his two best ex-soldiers, Firoz aka Freddy (Akshay Kumar) and Rakesh aka Rocky (Tiger Shroff), Why they were court marshalled there is a back story of their mission to Afghanistan that had led them be out of army for not following prders. Captain Misha ( Manushi Chillar) to convince Freddy & Rocky to come back , Freddy first refuses but later makes an heroic entry when Rocky , Misha and Pam ( Alaya F) who is a tech expert they go on the mission to Uk where they had info that the package is hiddin in a tunnel below waterloo station but they are totally surrounded by enemy rescused by Freddy , the package turned out to be Captain Priya ( Sonakshi Sinha) whose brain has been mapped with the codes of Karan Kavach ( the invisible technologial weapon that protects Indi from enemy country attacks) , Freddy tells the group that they all were strategycally brought together and there is some personal motive of the Pshysopath , who wants to destroy them all , who is this antagonist and how the protagonist will fight and protect India forms the crux of the movie.
Technical Review : Director Ali Abbas Zaffar who has given hits like Tiger Zinda Hai and many more has failed in this flick , The story is quiet hollow with no depth and pretictable narrative inspite of many twist and turnd .Instead of focusing on presenting action thriller in style they have concentrated on syling the action sequences. Editing is not upto mark .The biggest issue was that the core point of conflict between the antagonist and protagonists didn’t seem convincing enough.
Performances : Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff performance is good but it lacks any chemistry between them .Manushi Chillar is just driving around in cars and doing some action sequences with zero expression and zero emotions.Alaya F is good as techie genius.Sonakshi sinha and Ronit Roy are average .Prithviraj is super cool in his role.
Final Words : Watch it only for action sequences leaving logic behind at home.
