Overview :Story of two strangers and how their lives change on christmas eve
Storyline : The Story is set in the era when Mumbai was called Bombay .Its Christmas eve and everywhere there are festivities , amidst this two strangers meet at a restaurant bar , Maria ( Katrina Kaif ) along with her small daughter is dumped while on a date , and then there is Albert ( Vijay Sethupati) who has returned from dubai after 7 years (psst there is a secret there too) .Out of courtesy Albert offers Maria to drop her home , Maria tells him that she stays nearby and prefer to walk .Albert accompany them , Maria invites him for a drink , he agrees and they both enjoy drink , Maria ask him if they can go outside to enjoy Christmas festivities , she tucks her daughter to bed and leaves a note for her husband in case he comes in ..Both of them go out and enjoy outdoors , sharing their nostalgic moments once they return they are in a shock of a lifetime , Maria’s husband has shot himself , Albert is upset as Maria wants to call police , albert reveals that he has not come from dubai but from prison after 7 years for murder of his girlfriend , Albert escapes from there , but faith once again gets them together at a church with an addition of Sanjay Kapoor , with whom the same story Maria repeats , Albert is totally disturbed with the situation , and wants to know what the mystery is , which forms the crux of the film.
Technical Review : Shriram Raghavan has given us a brilliant screenplay ,with full thrills which is his forte .The whole movie is a story of just one night , how a single night can change lives of strangers is potrayed brilliantly He had recreated Bombay with that old school charm especially the beautiful Regal theater that is the token of that era when Mumbai was Bombay minus the crowd Director who gave us Andhadhund has worked on this par excellence .The background score is too good , especially the climax scenes are blended with music in such a way that there is no need for any dailogues.It will keep the audience hooked to their seat.
Performances : Katrina Kaif is too good in the movie , she has given performance of a lifetime .Vijay Setupathi is also brilliant and his chemistry with Katrina Kaif is fresh .Sanjay Kapoor has little screen time but he shines in it and acts as the trigger for the story.
Final Words : Its a entertaining movie which can be enjoyed with the family and share nostalgic moments about Bombay
