Overview : Dunki Movie sheds light on the challenges faced by unauthorized immigrants in their journey to a foreign country.
Storyline:The story is set in small village laltu in punjab .wherein Manu (Taapsee Pannu), Buggu (Vikram Kochhar), and Balli (Anil Grover) are three friends desperate to flee Punjab to make money by reaching the United Kingdom. Hardy (Harwinder Dhillon) who is a soldier arrives in their hometown Laltu to return a tape recorder that belonged to Manu’s brother. Hardy, knowledgeable in combat skills, stays to teach Manu wrestling, and as she has to masquerade as a member of a wrestling squad to go to the UK. However, the friends are deceived by their agent,and also after failing in the language test also the group decides to take the road less travelled, but one which promises them their destination. A tragic incident strengthens their determination and grit to make it to London at any cost. The challenges of taking the dunki toute to reach london trotting around the globe and after reaching there and facing reality check about their life check firms the crux of the movie
Technical Analysis : Rajkumar Hirani has presented the movie after a gap of 5 years that too with super star shahrukh khan is the best to end the year .Hirani who is an brilliant director who has presented the movie with with a simplicist approach which is hirani’s forte The first half is full of humour ,while the second half is full of emotions .Technically the director has presented the story in a suttle way without use of too much vfx or action sequences. Performances : Shahrukh Khan after giving Jawaan and Pathan has a third release in which he has played a romantic which is his forte and suttle role quiet down to earth .He has given a brilliant performance as young and old hardy singh dhillon with total grace and charm. He is a delight to watch .Especially court scence in London in which Shahrukh Khan is brilliant .Tapsee Pannu has totally matched her performance with him , other actors like Vikram Kochar and Anil Grover are good as per their role .Vicky Kaushal who has a special appearance as Sukkhi who has depicted each angle of his role of anger and pain brilliantly.
