Overview : The whodunit mystery thriller with lots of twists and turns
Storyline : The story is set at a scotish castle owned by Billionaire Ashish Kapoor (Ram Kapoor) , Ak as he is refered to who is exiled from India for doing a scam of 20,000 crores from Indian Banks and fleei g to England , Ak invites
Couple of his guest family and freinds for his birthday party , guest includes his brother-in-law Jimmy Mistry (Rahul Bose), his son Ryan (Shashank Arora) and Ryan’s girlfriend Gigi (Prajakta Kopli), his best friends and couple Sanjay and Noor Suri (played by Neeraj Kabi and Dipannita Sharma), his current love Lisa (Shahana Goswami) and niece Sasha (Ishika Mehra) along with tarot card reader Zara (Nika Walia) his personal assistant Kay (Amrita Puri) and the event manager for the night Tanveer (Danesh Rizvi), who gather at a Scottish castle on a stormy night for fun, which apart from the usual things, includes a revelation that Kapoor made to the guests., that he is going to surrender to Indian Govt and for that he has summoned CBI officer from India Mira Rao ( Vidya Balan) , As soon as he makes this announcement ,Ak is found dead , with a suicide letter on his table but Mira Rao has her doubts and she starts investigating the case , each and every guest have a motive to kill Ak , thereaftr there are many twists and turns with a major suspense towards the climax which forms the crux of the film
Technical Review : Director Anu Menon has tried to give us an agashta khirsty presentation , which she has succeeded to some extent with excellent location and cinematography, but the movie would have been more captivating if the characters were strong buiit with equally strong storyline . It doesn’t give that thrill to keep you on the edge of your seat during the investigation.
Performances : Vidya Balan is brilliant as per her role of CBI Officer , She has portrayed a serious look with blank face totally opposite to her personality, Kudos to her for maintaining that stature throughout the film .Ram Kapoor ad Ak will give us the hint of Kingfisher Kingpin ..Others are passable as per their role.
Final Words : Though the movie has some good moments but it lacks that thrill and joy of solving murder mystery .
