Overview : 8 am metro is a story whose essence captures our heart .
Storyline : The story revolves around Marathi Married Woman Iravati ( Saiyami Kher), who lives in Nanded Maharashtra with her husband and 2 children like any ordinary housewife. She suffers from a phobia of traveling in trains due to past traumatic incidents. But faith brings in a situation wherein her sister who stays in hyderabad, she is pregnant but due to complications in her delivery she is hospitalized for 2 weeks before delivery , Iravati has to reach hyderabad all alone as her husband is too busy , reluctantly somehow she reaches hyderabad , where she is suppose to travel by Metro everyday to reach hospital ..On first day when she reaches metro station she gets bad panic attack ,there she meets Preetan ( Gulshan Devaiah) who calms her down, Thereafter they meet everyday and they become good friends , Iravati likes to write poems which preetam loves to hear , both of them bond with each other , sharing their life stories and helping each other to overcome their shortcomings by enhancing each others strong points , they are just friends who have good tuning , and there is no love or any other angle as both are married with their respective partners , will the society accept such friendship forms the crux of the story .
Technical Review : The movie is brilliantly directed, as the director has explored lots of issues in this movie like anxiety , depression and mental health bur in a very suttle way
He has beautifully shown relation of friendship and bonding between a man and women without any expectation, in its pure form.Also the poetry penned by gulzar sahab and narrated by Iravati is out of this world .There is surprise in ten mins before climax that will shock u totally . The background music and songs are good. Cinematography is beautiful, especially aerial shots of Hyderabad city .
Performances : 90% of the film is leas by Saiyami and Gulshan , They both look good together .Saiyamj has done quiet a good job of playing an ordinary house wife , but she could work on her diction and accent better.Both of them look ordinary people who have done nothing extraordinary on their life
Rest of the castvare ok as per their role.
Final Words :Movie can be watched for good performances by Saiyami and Gulshan, beautiful poems, and as an attempt to describe a new meaning of a special bond between a man and a woman..
