Govinda Naam Mera is a thriller comedy, a first from Dharma Productions, and this time their partners are, again, Viacom 18 Studios in production, and Disney+Hotstar, which will stream the film from December 16. The trailer launch of the film was held at the J.W. Marriott, November 20.
Present on the occasion also were Gaurav Banerjee of Disney+Hotstar and Ajit Andhare of Viacom 18, both of whom heaped praises on Karan Johar, and Dharma CEO Apoorva Mehta, who stated that he was always treated with love and like family by Karan, who in turn called him his ,Alongwith Cast consisting of Vicky Kaushal , Bhumi Pednekar and Kiara Advani were present at the launch.

Vicky, at the event, stated: “A year before I heard the narration, Shashank had told me he’s writing something ‘paagal’ with me in mind. I knew nothing apart from this. He later narrated the story. I was hungry to do a film where I didn’t have to cry.”
Th Actor also revealed at the trailer launch event that he was usually praised for his performances in the films by the relatives, but they all had one complaint: ‘that he doesn’t sing or dance in his films.’
Kaushal added: “With Govinda Naam Mera, they finally can watch a masala film featuring him.
Bhumi Pednekar added, “The journey of Govinda Naam Mera has been super fun so far. I am nervous and excited at the same time as it’s a different genre for me and I can’t wait to see what the viewers think of it.”
Kiara Advani, recalling the fun vibe from the set, said, “Govinda Naam Mera is our labor of love. Dharma is home and this film further strengthens my association with them. Suku was an exciting character to take on. I hope the audiences enjoy the film as much as we did making it.”
Bhumi Pednekar further said that making the film was a fun ride and it was for the first time that she was playing such a bold character.
