Star Cast :Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna, Mouni Roy, Dimple Kapadia and others
Director : Ayan Mukherjee
Overview : A spectacular movie so asthetic looks like a comic bookish story telling on big screen

Storyline :The film opens with Amitabh Bachchan’s voice taking us through a guided tour of the various ‘astras’ (weapons ) and how powerful they are. Rishi Munis for years did ‘tapasya’, prayed and meditated for the most powerful Astra of them all – Brahmastra which should be protected as it has the power to destroy earth. But one of the Bramansh Member Dev Fights to get this brahmastra , his wife breaks this astra into 3 parts and is distributed somewhere on earth.
Dev creates Junoon ( Mouni Roy) to find all 3 parts of Brahmastra.
On the parallel side in present day the story revolves around Shiva ( Ranbir Kapoor ) who is a simple guy who works as a dj and is surrounded by orphan kids who are his world , his life funda is that he tries to find light even in the darkest situations , One fine day during his work at a durga pandal he meets Isha ( Alia Bhatt) , who is daughter of owner of the pandal , he falls in love with her at first sight . A little exchange of words between them and both Isha and Shiva fall for each other , liittle did they know that universe has something in store for them which is going to change their life. But his love life is hindered by flashes/nightmares he gets which make him revisit a horrific past involving his mother’s death, and of important people getting hunted by Junoon (Mouni Roy) and her men in search of a broken piece of the Brahmastra. The ones who are being hunted- are important people of the society- one is a scientist- who gets killed in order to protect his important artifact/stone. Shiva foresees the same fate for a Benaras-based archeologist (Nagarjuna) and decides to go to Varanasi along with Isha in order to warn him before Junoon and her men reach him.
From there on a visual and terrific journey begins , what is the connection between Shiva and this brahmansh forms the crux of the story.

Technical Review : Technically it is very brilliant and spectacle , a beautifully comic book visuals , which is an eye candy ..But Director Ayan Mukherjee in order to present a visually good movie his focus on the story flips off. The story and screenplay has lots of flaws . Thè dailogues are less and lacks any body.
The first half, when films usually establish the plot, is not very convincing. The pace only picks up in the second half when Amitabh Bachchan’s character – as a leader of Brahmansh is introduced, who joins the pieces of the puzzle for Shiva as well as the audience making the story more coherent and believable.
VFX more than makes up for the lack of good story ,It is a visual extravaganza that Indian cinema has not seen. The music is good
Performances : Though the star cast is stellar but they are not used to their full potentials due to poor storyline and screenplay.Amitabh Bachchan Plays his usual pàtriach in the film nothing new .Ranbir Kapoir has good performance but less dialogues , The chemistry between Ranbir and Alia lacks soul. Though Mouni Roy has stole the show as Junoon , she has revealed her dark side in a peppy manner
Final Words : Clearly Watch it for its best vfx and special effects which are first for India and don’t bother too much about about the story. Watch it only on big screen to enjoy its special effects in 3d
Ratings : 3.5*/5*
