Overview : Rocketry: The Nambi Effect’ is a biographical drama based on the life of Padma Bhushan Nambi Narayanan, a former scientist and aerospace engineer of the Indian Space Research Organisation, who was falsely accused of espionage.
Storyline : The Story Begins With Dynamic Shahrukh Khan playing himself who is given task to interview Mr Nambi Narayanan who is Padmabushan Scientist..The staff directing the show are cursing themselves for getting stuck at the studio to record dull boring interview of an old scientist , but as the interview begins all people get stunned. Nambi Narrates his story ,which is based in 1968 , Isro kerala , when India was nowhere on the map of Space Research Programme Internationally. Young and Dynamic Nambi an Scientist with ISRO had a dream and a goal for India to launch its own rocket .The film is divided in 2 parts , first part of the film shows the journey of Nambi , his technical and learning journey , he travels to many countries and through his intelligence he is able to achieve breakthrough achievment in the feild of rocketery so much so that he is also offered job by NASA but he chooses to work in India .In the second part the film shows how Nambi gets falsely accused in espionage , how he goes through a very difficult period of his life he was tortured by police and his family was harrassed mentally After a long battle he was cleared from the case ..In 2014 he was the first scientist to launch a spacecraft to Mars ..His dedication was only key to sucess.Hearing his story Mr Shahrukh Khan was stunned and he personally apologies to him on behalf of country men..
Later in 2018 he was awarded Padma Bhushan an and Compensation for accusation which he was wrongly implicated
Technical Review :The the film is written , produced and Directed by R.Madhavan ..Its a risky script to debut with ,but R.Madhavan without caring about commercial sucess if the film , has very well directed th film showcasing through various phases of Padma Bhushan Nambi Narayanan’s life. His journey as an Indian aerospace engineer inspires, guides, and reinstates our faith in dreams.
Performances : Simran, as Narayanan’s wife, steals the show. You get an emotional lump in your throat every time she is on-screen. Sam Mohan as Unni is absolutely amazing. R Madhavan as Nambi is excellent , each expression of emotions , frustration and fear he has delivered with total finesse
Final Words : Film is emotional but not overly dramatic. Film doesn’t fall into the traps of glorification and hero-worshiping. But it does points that its high time that our scientist get their credit pending for long time..Its a must watch movie with family
