Overview :“Maverick” Mitchell returns to Top Gun to mentor a group of young pilot graduates execute a dangerous mission
Storyline : Tom Cruise leads the cast once again as Captain Pete “Maverick” Mitchell. Still one of the best pilots in the world, he begins the film in a place where he appears to be on the way out to pasture. He’s about to fly a fancy new jet, the real-world Lockheed Martin Darkstar spy plane, but must face the reality that the navy general (Ed Harris) is en route to shut down the program entirely. Tom Cruise once again proves them wrong as his help his fellow servicemen continue doing their job.After that he thought that his career is in jeopardy instead he is informed that He’s recruited to return to the Top Gun flight school to train recruits for a dangerous mission, one against a vague “rogue state” enemy.He reaches Top Gun to find team of 12 new pilots ,once he reaches there the film brings nostalgic moments from the iriginal Top Gun 1986 movie ,One of the pilots in the team of 12 wis Rooster (Miles Teller), the son of his best friend Goose. If you remember, he was one of the great supporting characters in top gun . He was killed in the original when Maverick continued to push the limits of his training and the plane. It still haunts Maverick, triggered when Rooster plays the same song his dad did at the piano when they sang as a family. Pete has a new love interest in the movie, Peggy (Jennifer Connelly), an old flame he left three years prior. While fighting his demons, Maverick must make believers out of his new boss, Admiral Beau “Cyclone” Simpson (Jon Hamm), and his star recruits. The death of Goose still haunts Pete and Rooster both leading to cold war between them..Will they both able to keep aside their personal grudge and complete the mission forms rest of the story
.Technical Review : Director Joseph Kosinski (Only the Brave) and a script from a team that includes Ehren Kruger, Kosinski collaborator Eric Warren Singer, and Mission: Impossible Cruise team member Christopher McQuarrie do a great job here. What the film does well is establish respect for the original. They revisit the film and fold in Maverick’s backstory. You have a wonderful mix of action and humor and the film’s top-quality production. Without being ripped from a comic book movie, this old-fashioned blockbuster is a retrofit for a new generation with spectacular action and today’s special effects

Final Words : Top Gun: Maverick is a movie that is satisfying on the narrative level, in a visual sense, and when accounting for what the movie is actually about.
