Shahid Kapoor Launched Much Awaited Trailer of Film Jersey

Shahid Kapoor yesterday launched the trailer of his much-awaited film, ‘Jersey co-starring Mrunal Thakur in the lead role. 

At the trailer launch, Shahid spoke at length about the lockdown last year, shooting amid the pandemic and waiting for two years for the theatres .He also said that Sooryavanshi has paced the way for all the movires to be released in theatre…Rohit Shettty has taken this strong decision to release his movie in theatre post pandemic that has paved the way for all of us. He said that Jersey was offered to him before Kabir Singh.Interacting with Media Shahid Kapoor r made the confesssio that might shock his fans!

Shahid Kapoor said that he begged the filmmakers who have made 200-250 crore films post the success of his film Kabir Singh.

After Kabir Singh released, I went like a beggar to everybody. I went to all these people who’ve made these 200-250 crore films. I’ve never been a part of this club, so it was completely new to me. Having spent 15-16 years in the industry, I never had such a huge grosser. So, when it finally happened, I didn’t know where to go, it was all new to me,” Shahid  Kapoor said at the trailer launch of Jersey

Meanwhile, talking about his upcoming film, Shahid revealed that he was approached for Jersey weeks before Kabir Singh released and he watched the original movie, which starred Nani in the lead.

Jersey is the Hindi remake of the Telugu hit of the same name. It narrates the journey of a cricketer, who returns to play cricket in his 30s, by joining the Indian cricket team..He said that Jersey has a very strong emotional content which is very inspiring content ..

Jersey will be releasing in theatre 31st December 2021
