Review of Movie Ron’s Gone Wrong

Ron’s Gone Wrong” features the voices of famed comic actor Zach Galifianakis , Jack Dylan Grazer, Oscar winner Olivia Colman, Ed Helms, Justice Smith, Rob Delaney, Kylie Cantrall, Ricardo Hurtado, Marcus Scribner and Thomas Barbusca. The film is directed by Pixar veteran Jean-Philippe Vine and Sarah Smith with Octavio Rodriguez co-directing

Overview :Ron’s Gone Wrong is a touching & hilarious look at the budding friendship between a boy and his faulty robot

Storyline :

Barney Pudowski (voice of Jack Dylan Grazer), Kindhearted but socially isolated middle schooler, yearns for a “B*Bot,” the robot toy that has become a status symbol among his classmates…Marc the maker has made the Bot to collect kids data and their preferences to be later used for commercial purpose

By the time his widowed dad, Graham (voice of Ed Helms), a cash-strapped novelty salesman, and his grandmother Donka (voice of Olivia Colman) figure out what Barney wants, however, it’s too late for them to purchase a B*Bot for him as a birthday gift through normal channels. So they resort to buying one that literally fell off a truck.

So of course, every kid in the class has one except outsider Barney, who’s probably the kid most in need of a friend, any friend. When he finally gets his hands on one, it’s immediately clear that his bot Ron is a little… different.

Defective though he may be, Barney decides to make up for Ron’s wrong  algorithm by teaching him about friendship himself, ultimately learning what it means to be a better friend in the process.

The end result, though, is a wildly uneven one. Ron is Wall-E level adorable, but lacks the same amount of depth which makes it pretty hard to understand what kind of friendship he and Barney really have. 

Technical Review : Technically the movie is brilliant, the animation by locksmith studio is very nice , kids will love it ..The Makers of movie though has a social message too that kids like Barney and his classmates to learn some lessons about friendship and not relying on social media for feedback and approval and for some of the grown-ups to learn some lessons about priorities and the risks of capitalism by using such gadgets

Final Words: Good Animation and vfx , and many funny moments will keep children entertained till the end ..A good weekend family watch
