Storyline : The story is set in Denmark where drinking culture is on the high side..The story revolves around 4 Freinds who are teachers at a high school ..Martin( Mad Mikkelsen) is a history teacher , Tommy ( Thomas Bo Larsen (sports instructor), Magnus Millang (psychology teacher Nikolaj) and Lars Ranthe (music teacher Peter)
They all are going through midlife crisis both in their personal as well as professional life…One evening when these four Freinds meet for dinner..One of them suggested that as per Norwegian Philosopher Finn Skarderuds Hypothesis that humans are born with a blood alcohol content that is 0.05 % too low therefore need to drink alcohol regularly to keep the level right..The Rest of them agreed to give it a try by experimenting to day time drinking without knowledge of school authorities..Martin after drinking in afternoon found that his performance while teaching history become interesting …His relation with his wife Anika was also getting better …On the other hand Tommy Sports Instructor also was able to have a good stamina and developed a good rapport with his students , Nikolaj the psychology teacher too was able to help a weak student to clear a exam successfully after many failures..Peter the music teacher also was able to do good .But alas a the habit of day time drinking took a bizarre turn ,all four of them threw caution to the wind to seek and go beyond the point of ignition ..All this leads to trouble , Injury and tragedy at every turn of their life. Eventually the hard lessons that life teaches them that show the men the way forward
Technical Review : Technically the movie is brilliant..Mads Mikkelsen as Martin is brilliant in the film , his ability to convey a gamut of emotions from the broad to the nuanced with effortless ease is something to look forward to..Also Mads Jazz dance moves in the climax situation is worth watching.
Director Vinterberg has given a brilliant screenplay and has peppered the film with music in the background making it entertaining.
Final Words : The world is never as you expect is the best dailogue in the movie which is applicable to the movie itself ..It’s a profoundly moving ..Another Round is heady but absolutely steady ..
