Overview : Though Angrezi Medium is a sequel to Hindi Medium starring Irrfan Khan only but the content and direction is totally different
Storyline:The story is set in Jaipur where Champak (Irrfaan Khan) is a single parent ..After his wife expires , he single handedly raises his only daughter Tarika (Radhika Madan) , She is the only epicentre of his life…He along with his freind (Deepak Dobriyal).run a sweet shop…Tarika has the desire to study abroad in London University .She places a bet with her father that if she scores 90% in her 12th exams, he has to let her study abroad. Beating all odds, she manages to score a scholarship but loses out on one due to Champak’s innocent stunt at the school’s annual day function..She is really upset with his father and raises questions that he is inefficient…Champak swears to himself that he will get his daughter admission in England Universityby hook of crook….From thereon his journey begins which is full of twists and turns. In london he meets Mrs Kohli (Dimple Kapadia) and her Cop Daughter Ms Naina Kohli (Kareena Kapoor Khan) , a old videshi freind Babloo( Ranvir Shorey) , Travel Agent Pankaj Tiwari…, how they are instrumental in Champak’s journey is for the audience to watch.
Script Analysis & Director Review : The script is good it will keep audience’s interest intact…Director Homi Adajania has very well directed the film…He has given the message that all that glitters is not always gold ……India is equally upto to international standards in education …The screenplay is too good.
Performances: Irrfan khan is a delight to watch on screen …His talent is unmatched …He has carried the entire movie on his shoulders beautifully…Deepak Doubiyal has done a fantastic job….He has added dollops of humour in the movie with his straight face and clean punches…Kareena Kapoor And Dimple Kapadia have small parts but they both have left a great impact…Radhika Madan is good vulnerable and childlike but at the same she shows maturity equally too with perfection.
Final Words : Its a good weekend watch with family
