Overview: The comeback film of Ramesh Sippy as Director ,which he directed in 2014-15 sees the day lof light after 5 years.

Storyline: The story revolves around a young girl named Naina (Rakul Preet Singh), who aspires to start her own cafe in Shimla while also trying to help her mother (Hema Malini) get over her separation from her father Lalit (Kanwaljit Singh). Hema is not ready to sign divorce papers as she is hoping that her husband will come back to her…Naina is frustrated with her mother she is trying every way to get her mother out of this .She wants her to live her life for herself. Avinash (Rajkumar Rao) is from a well settled family from Delhi ..He comes to Shimla for a Vacation it’s his .22nd trip to the hill station..Avinash has a problem he is unable to propose to girls…On this trip he meets Naina ..Avinash falls head over heels in love with her. On the pretext to help Naina set up the cafe Avinash tries to get close to her …But he is unable to e press his feelings .Avinash decides to pen his feelings in a letter and sends it to Naina in the name of secret admirer.
She’s not interested in her ‘Secret Admirer’ but gets a brainwave to twist the contents of the letter and send it to her mother.
And that’s where things take a turn for the weird to happen…Her mother is surprised and investigates as to who has send the letter ..Coincidentally all ways lead to Avinash..What happens Further forms the rest of the story.
Script Analysis & Director Review : The film opens with an honest admission that it is based on 2010’s French romcom Beautiful Lies. But this script has nothing exciting about it …Everything is obvious and climax is also not that great… Ramesh Sippy who is a legend director makes a comeback ad a Director after many years but this is a total blunder …Apart from scenic Shimla there is nothing to hold you to your seats
Performances: Rakul Preet Singh looks beautiful but she has overreacted at many points ..Rajkumar Rao had done this movie at the start of his career that’s why he is raw in this film. With his innocence then and now he shoulders the film all alone and deserves applause for that. Hemaji Returns after many years to Silver Screen..She is graceful as ever but she deserves much more than this role.
Final Words : If you think ok to watch after reading review then go ahead otherwise…
