Review of Movie Sye raa Narsimh Rao- A Visual Treat Amidst Back Drop Of Patriotism

Overview: A magnum opus set in the era of pre independence when our country was ruled by British. A Visual Treat

Storyline : Set somewhere around 1857, the story has an emperor in Narasimha Reddy (Chiranjeevi) who rules his district of Uyyalawada. He gets introduced after a long montage of Rani Laxmi Bai’s motivational speech to her soldiers and how the British took over India. To unite every leader in the state, Narasimha decides to bring them together for a carnival.  Some of the leaders are jealous of him and tries to ruin his carnival. Though his kingdom is well to do but areas around his kingdom is suffering from drought plus the British government levies heavy lagaan on the farmers ..Farmers and their families are suffering at the hands of British and they are subjected to torture . Sye raa comes to know about it and he is ready to fight with the British force but none of the leaders are not ready to fight with British troops . Reluctantly they join his team but many of them betray him in his fight as they fall prey to British policy of divide and rule. But Narsimha fight them till his last breath.. He Ignited the light of patriotism in every Indian.. How he did so is for the audience to watch.

Script Analysis & Director Review: The Script is ok but is very dragging .There is lots of repetition and the climax is very disruptive. Cinematography is brilliant so is the screenplay .Director has shown in depth pain and sacrifices of people who have fought for freedom .He has also shown the cruelty and brutality of British Government in its raw form .Watch Trailer :

Performances: Cheeranjeevi has done the role of a lifetime
He has totally lived upto his character. His body language and his action sequences will blow you away ..Amitabh Bachchan is good as per his role has limited screen time. Tamannah is very good she has done a fantastic role.

Final words :A must watch movie as it depicts the sacrifices of people who have fought for the freedom that we are enjoying today …Its a hard hitting movie which every Indian should watch.
