Review of movie Dream Girl

After a really good streak last year with Andhadhun and Badhai Ho, Aayushman has delivered yet another overwhelming film this year. Dream Girl was good in parts and overall ok.

The first half of the film felt dragged and most of the jokes fell flat. It picked up in the second half which was better than the first half and ended the film on a better note than it started. The message in the end felt forced. Aayushman and Annu Kapoor are very capable actors and both of them carried the film on their shoulders. Nusrat Bharucha did not have any significant screen time to do anything.

Though the music was good. Editing was fine. But the screenplay and dialogues were a real drag, especially in the first half.

This had the potential to be a really good family entertainer had the script could have been better
