The actress has also been spreading the message of Cauvery calling by urging people to grow more trees and promoting Agro-forestry for a sustainable living.

During the media interaction she talked about bmc proposal of cutting 2600 trees in aarey colony for making metro car shed..she said that we should not just keep quiet but work towards saving the environment…otherwise Mumbai will be concrete jungle…
We can wait for the metro but can’t cut the trees like this”, said she.
Kangana urged that other celebrities should come forward and lent support to the cause of environment. Adding that B-Town celebs often refrain from talking about important issues affecting the people and country.
Creating an initiative to protect the nature, Kangana urged the media to join hands in raising awareness towards the harmful use of plastic even in synthetic fiber cloths. When Kangana was asked about what she thinks of the obsession in Bollywood that makes celeb be on the front of all trends, as at times they also wear non-environment-friendly fashion.
Ranaut replied stating how she thinks that only media has the ability to police such fashion into curbing, after all the Bollywood actors or actresses wear their best selves only to impress the media. The media is the very outlet that makes a celebrity fashionable or a fashionista, so it is only right for them to raise awareness by rating the ones wearing non-environment-friendly clothes lesser and taking that away from fashion trends.
