Review of Movie Hamid

Overview : A plight of Kashmir and it’s people wrapped in a mix of innocence and emotions

 

Storyline ; The Story Revolves round little kashmiri boy Hamid (Talha Arshad Reshi) whose father is a boat sculpture . Amongst the tensions between army , local people and militants , one day Hamid’s father goes missing. Hamid is heart broken as he was very close to his father. His Mother Ishrat (Rasika Dugal )  putting up a brave front ask Hamid to concentrate on his studies and also urges him to learn the art of sculpting boats at his Father’s workshop. Hamid comes across his father’s phone inside his father’s tool box. He somehow manages to start that phone. People around him makes him believe that God has called his father to do his work. He also is made to believe that ,786 is number of God.

 

He somehow manages to get through the call . He believes that he is speaking to God but actually the call goes to A CRPF army man who is coincidently reason behind Hamid’s father’s death. Hamid thinking him to be God converses with him to send his father back….The Crpf man is quiet amused and carries on this conversation for some time…What happens next is for Audience to watch .Will Hamid’s Father will Return .What Will Happen when Hamid comes to know that he is not conversing with God is for Audience to watch

 

.Script Analysis And Director Review : The Script is excellent..Once in a while such scripts come that pinches your heart. Director Aijaz Khan has beautifully presented the plight of Kashmir and it’s people. Their struggle to find their family members who are missing amidst Fight between Indian Army And Militants. The Director has also touched upon the subject why local kashmiri people what leads them to stone pelting upon Indian Army. It’s a very well directed movie

 

Performances: Talha Arshad Reshi as Hamid has done a fantastic job. His character will make you fall in love with his innocence. His expression s and body language can give complex to any big actor. Rasika Dugal as Ishrat is very good .She has played her character with great poise depicting each emotions of pain and suffering all at right time perfectly

 

Final Words: All said and done .This Movie is a Must Watch For all Indians
