Actor Kunal Khemu is foraying into the digital world with his forthcoming crime thriller web-series Abhay, with ZEE5 platform.
ZEE5 is India’s Truly Global Digital platform.
Present at the event were Kunal Khemmu , Eleena Nouroze , CID fame director B .P.Singh. Unfortunately he is not Directing the story but will be on production side.
Talking about his show, Kunal said, “There is something new in every episode, a new crime, so it brings uniqueness and freshness to the show. The show brings true crimes in our country, so it was even more intriguing to play this part”
He also said that the series is different from other crime stories like savdhan India as in this we know who has committed crime the whole investigation that is shown how special task officer reaches to the criminal is shown in intricating way .Also his personal life is shown alongside with the cases.
He also said that he has prepare himself physically and mentally for this role.
It was earlier reported that Kunal Khemu might try his hands at direction with the biopic based on Ram Jethmalani, India’s highest paid lawyer and a former Union Law Minister who has fought several high-profile cases and represented many controversial clients.
Talking about the biopic, “I am not directing anything, but we’re co-producing a biopic on Ram Jethmalani. The cast has not been finalized but Hansal Mehta will be directing it”
ZEE5 will premiere a procedural format crime thriller ‘Abhay’ on 7th February. The eight-episode crime thriller will see the release of two episodes each month, disrupting the traditional binge viewing habit of content on OTT platforms
