Overview : Saga of Young Couple who become victim to honour killing which still prevails in India

 

Story Line :The Story is set in picturiques city of Udaipur where Parthavi (Janhvi ) belongs to a high class political family headed by Ratan Singh ( Ashutosh Rana ). Parthavi is his daughter who is studying in college . In her college in same class Madhukar (Ishaan Khatter) also studies . Madhu is total awed by Parthavi’s beauty , he is crazily in love with her , he follows her where ever she goes with her friends  whether to a pond for a swim or outdoor dance class. etc.  Parthavi notices all this and plays along with him she  secretly falls in love with him . Though Madhu’s father warns him not to chase her as she belongs to upper caste then them , but all this advice fall on deaf ears. Ratan Singh comes to know about them and  catches them together , He sends Madhu and his friends to jail using his powers , Janhvi reaches police station and pleads her father to let them go , there is lot of drama happening amidst that Parthavi manages to grab a gun and she and Madhu escape from there , caught unawares both of them escape in a mail train without thinking and they  reach Mumbai. From there they go to Nagpur Madhu’s Uncle’s Place  and from there on finally they reach Kolkata .From there onwards their journey of life together starts.  Will they be able to live their life , Will they go back to Udaipur  , Will both of their parents accept their relationship , is for the audience to watch.

 

Script Anaysis And Director Review :Director Shashank Khaitan has attempted to make a remake Marathi Super Hit Sairaat directed By Nagraj Manjule , But Shashank has missed out on putting soul in the movie.Sairat had the rawness of the soil, innocence in the character , totally authentic caste difference was shown bueatifully  but Dhadak has the Johar Touch. Sairaat was based on caste system but Dhadak is somewhat more inclined towards political power .The first half of the movie is slow paced and in the second half it does gears up. The climax scence is the highlight of the movie , it is shot wonderfully it will give you jolt of a life .The cinematography is nice. Udaipur city is shot well.

 

Performance :A lot is expected from Janhvi , she has managed well being her debut but she needs to work a lot on her expressions .Her face is stone face.

Ishaan is good he has expressive eyes. He is young and energetic but lacks in Style That Bollywood Hero Carries

 

Ashutosh is same he has played same role in many movies

 

Final Word : Watch it for Janhvi .
